We have recently been hit with a spat of scammers. Please be careful when giving out any personal information to people you meet on online or pounced. We apologize if you got one of these emails or were about to buy plane tickets to Nigeria or Senegal - There are bad people on the internet.
You can protect yourself online by doing a few things:
- Don't put your email address in the text of your advertisement.
- Treat everyone who IMs you or emails you with caution.
- Don't give out personal information to someone you barely know.
